The Wheelie Bin Downhill

“A boy fits in a wheelie bin. A wheelie bin fits down Vicarage Hill. Only one of them steers.”
One boy, one wheelie bin, one very steep hill. It's a simple plan, perhaps the best plan we have ever had. The bin rolls surprisingly smoothly on the pavement and the lid closes with a satisfying clunk. So who's going to get in first? And what happens when we give it a little push?
“And as the bin begins to wobble... he goes faster.”
From the back cover
In the quiet village of Bramblewick, a wheelie bin is not just for rubbish. To a ten-year-old boy, it's a homemade go-kart with a lid. All it needs is a steep hill, a bit of a run-up and a willing volunteer to climb inside.
But as the bin picks up speed down Vicarage Hill, one question remains. How do you stop?
Luckily for the crew, the grown-ups are too busy to notice a thing.
